Peak Season:
Christmas School Holidays ~ 7 nights minimum stay
Easter ~ 4 nights minimum stay
October Long Weekend ~ 3 nights minimum stay
3 nights deposit required.

Middle Season:
1 September to 30 April (excluding peak season dates, as above)
1 night deposit required.
Minimum 2 nights booking for Waterfront Cabins

All other times
1 night deposit required.

Deposits can be made by Credit Card ~ Visa, Mastercard
Australian bookings may also pay by cheque or money order.

Balance of fees is payable on arrival by cheque, cash, eftpos or credit card.There is a 1.5% loading on credit card payments when paying balance of fees (not on deposit payments).

Other things you should know

  • Bring sheets, pillowcases, blankets and towels.
  • Modern laundry facilities are available.
  • No dogs allowed.
  • Wood for your barbeque is available from the office.
  • All accommodation (except economy cabin and caravans) have air-conditioning,TV, microwave oven and full kitchen facilities.
  • A public telephone is close by.
  • There is a shop across the road for essential items but is open only on week-ends and  school holidays.
  • The nearest town for shopping & entertainment etc is Batemans Bay (24 kilometers or 20 minutes).
  • The meaning of the name Joalah is "Haunt of the Lyre Bird".
    Lyre Birds are very shy so you need to watch out for them closely on your drive or walk through the forest!

Canoe Hire

$20 per half day ~ $30 per full day
This is an ideal way to explore the area, on beautiful crystal clear water! Great fun for all ages!
Oars and life jackets are provided (and should be worn!).
